Our name is an homage to the Sitka tree, a species of spruce that is valued for its ability to grow fast in adverse conditions and prosper in areas where few other trees can. Sitka Power's roots, and our competitive advantage, rests in our ability to overcome challenges in pursuit of opportunities. We are ambitious, resilient, and dedicated to the success of our projects.
Sitka is led by an experienced management team, who are qualified, responsible developers, owners and operators of solar, wind, run-of river hydro, and battery energy storage assets. Well capitalized, Sitka is backed by a dedicated private infrastructure fund managed by an affiliate of Long Life Capital Inc., a strategic advisor to long-term institutional investors with offices in Montréal, QC and Calgary, AB.
Sitka Power is focused on the acquisition, development, construction and operation of small-scale wind, solar, hydro and battery energy storage assets across Canada.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Trevor’s primary responsibilities are strategy, governance, executive management, corporate, business and project development, and stakeholder relations. Trevor is a previous co- founder of two renewable development platforms and has held several senior management positions over 10-year career within the renewable power and energy industry, focused on corporate, business and project development. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a 2010 Olympian in the sport of Alpine.
Chief Financial Officer
Warren’s primary responsibilities are financial and accounting management, governance and reporting, and corporate development. Warren brings 30 years of broad financial experience in both public and private corporations spanning multiple industries, including remote power, oil and gas, as well as software development. Warren holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Calgary.
Chief Operating Officer
Marc’s primary responsibilities are managing the engineering, construction, operations, and management of Sitka’s assets. Marc has 25 years of experience in power generation, power services and heavy industry in three different countries. He has held senior roles at Enmax and TransAlta, where he oversaw design, construction, commissioning and operations of electrical infrastructure, and provided centralized operating diagnostics for reliability and performance on a fleet of 900+ generators with installed capacity of 8GW located at over 30 sites in Australia, Canada and the US. B.Sc. in Engineering from the University ofSaskatchewan.
Chief Commercial and Legal Officer
Cory’s primary responsibilities are managing in-house and external legal counsel, overseeing corporate and project development, and commercial management. Cory brings 20 years of broad commercial energy experience spanning multiple provinces and states. After practicing corporate commercial law privately and in-house for several years, he embarked on a 15-year career in business development with large cap electricity and Oil and Gas companies. During this time, he helped create the first Alberta power auction and negotiated uniquely structured commodity contracts. Cory holds a science degree in Applied Mathematics And a law degree from the University of New Brunswick and is a practicing member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
