Terri-Lee Oleniuk
Terri-Lee is a Partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Business Law Group in Calgary and advises proponents, developers and investors on regulatory strategy, approvals and risk management for complex energy and infrastructure projects across Canada. Her practice focuses on regulatory, environmental and Indigenous law, including environmental assessments, tribunal proceedings and matters involving tolls, tariffs, investigations and inquiries. Terri-Lee has deep experience in the power sector, supporting electricity transmission and generation projects – including hydroelectric, solar, wind and battery energy storage – alongside work in oil and gas, pipelines, LNG, mining and midstream. She regularly advises on ESG considerations and negotiates agreements with Indigenous groups, helping clients address consultation, partnership and long term relationship objectives in a practical, commercially informed manner. Terri-Lee is admitted in Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories, holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) and Juris Doctor (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan, and an Masters in Law in Energy and Infrastructure Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.
