Project Overview

The Chatsworth Solar Project’s proposed design capacity is 17.81MWdc and located in the Municipality of Chatsworth, Grey County. The municipal address 317098 Highway 6 & 10, Chatsworth. Chatsworth received its Municipal Support Resolution from The Township of Chatsworth to submit a proposal for IESO LT2(e-1) RFP.

As part of Sitka’s sustainability efforts, we will look for opportunities to introduce agrivoltaics onto the site which is likely to include sheep grazing and beehive hosting.

Project Benefits

  • Provide annual tax revenue to local and provincial governments over the life of the Project.
  • Provides community benefits revenue to local government and First Nation land the Project is located on.
  • Create local employment and contracting opportunities during the development, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases of the Project.
  • Increase revenue to local businesses due to economic spinoff from Project activities.
  • Produce emission-free electricity that will both increase energy security and displace generation from fossil fuels, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
